Welcome to NEAC

The National Economic Advisory Council (NEAC) was set up by the Prime Minister of Malaysia in May 2009 with a mandate to formulate a New Economic Model (NEM) that will transform Malaysia into a high income economy by 2020.

The NEAC published a two-part report outlining the strategic directions as well as the necessary policy measures that are aimed at promoting Malaysia's growth in an inclusive and sustainable manner.

The NEAC completed its mandate officially on 31 May 2011. This website serves as a reference point for members of the public who wish to know more about the NEM as well as the NEAC.

Implementation of the policy measures as recommended by the NEAC is now being undertaken by the relevant government agencies under the coordination of the Performance Management and Delivery Unit (PEMANDU), which can be contacted at:
