NEM & ETP
Is the NEM achievable?
The short answer is a definite yes.
While Malaysia faces daunting challenges we can draw on a number of strengths and unique advantages to move forward. We are not poor and are strategically located in a high-growth region. We have good infrastructure, a well-established manufacturing base and a young educated labour force.
For the NEM to succeed, there must be political will to break the logjam of vested interests. Political and intellectual leadership must prepare the rakyat to support deep seated changes in policy directions.
